1. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the "ChinmayaClix" website and related digital services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Central Chinmaya Mission Trust ("CCMT", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

2. ChinmayaClix is a subscription-based digital platform providing access to spiritual discourses, lectures, music, recorded events, and other audio-visual content owned by the Central Chinmaya Mission Trust through secure online access. Depending on what we offer from time to time, you may access the Services through a subscription and/or a one-time or other purchase (for example, event-based or special access). 3. ELIGIBILITY:

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age; or
  • Use the Services under supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Services, you confirm that you are legally competent to enter into binding agreements under Indian law.

4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

4.1 Account Requirement

Access to Content requires registration and creation of an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4.2 Unauthorized Access

4.2.1 You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.2.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in misuse, abnormal usage patterns, or violation of these Terms.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS, PURCHASES, AND PAYMENTS

5.1 Subscription Plans and Purchases – We may offer monthly, annual, event-based, or special access through a subscription and/or a purchase, as described when you check out.

5.2 Billing Authorization – By subscribing or completing a purchase, you authorize CCMT or its payment processors to charge the applicable fees.

5.3 Auto-Renewal – Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before renewal.

5.4 Refund Policy – Subscription fees and purchases are non-refundable except:

  • Where required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • In cases of duplicate or erroneous transactions
  • Approved refunds will be processed via the original mode of payment.

6. LIMITED ONLINE VIEWING AND CONSUMPTION RIGHTS

6.1 All content made available through ChinmayaClix ("Content") is owned by or licensed to CCMT and protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and other applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, CCMT grants you a:

  • Limited
  • Non-exclusive
  • Non-transferable
  • Non-sublicensable
  • Revocable

right to access, view, and listen to the Content solely for your personal, private, and non-commercial consumption through your registered account via online access.

6.3 No ownership rights are transferred to you.

6.4 All rights including the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) not expressly granted are reserved by CCMT.

7. STRICT PROHIBITION ON DOWNLOADS, COPYING AND REDISTRIBUTION

7.1 Content is made available strictly for online viewing and listening only.

You may not:

  • Download, copy, reproduce, store, archive, or distribute Content
  • Screen-record or capture audio or video
  • Circumvent DRM, encryption, watermarking, or security controls
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
  • Share login credentials with others

7.2 Any such action may constitute infringement under:

  • Copyright Act, 1957
  • Information Technology Act, 2000
  • and may result in civil and/or criminal liability.

8. PROHIBITION ON PUBLIC, GROUP OR INSTITUTIONAL SCREENINGS

8.1 Your subscription permits personal and private consumption only.

8.2 You expressly agree that you shall not:

  • Conduct public screenings
  • Exhibit Content in ashrams, temples, mission centres, halls, classrooms, or institutional premises
  • Organise group viewings
  • Broadcast, retransmit, or communicate the Content to the public
  • Use the Content for fundraising, commercial, or organisational events

8.3 Any communication of the Content to the public without prior written authorization from CCMT is strictly prohibited and may constitute infringement of rights under the Copyright Act, 1957.

8.4 Separate institutional or public performance licenses must be obtained in writing from CCMT where applicable.

9. DEVICE AND ACCESS RESTRICTIONS

9.1 Access is permitted only:

  • During active subscription
  • Through registered login credentials
  • On permitted devices

9.2 We reserve the right to monitor usage patterns to detect credential sharing or unauthorized institutional access.

9.3 Accounts engaging in abnormal simultaneous access or public exhibition may be suspended without prior notice.

10. CONTENT AVAILABILITY AND SUBSCRIPTION MODIFICATION

10.1 The availability of curated Content under any subscription plan may change from time to time at the sole discretion of CCMT, including but not limited to changes arising from:

  • Licensing arrangements
  • Technical upgrades or platform modifications
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Operational, strategic, or organisational decisions

10.2 CCMT reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Add, remove, modify, or replace any Content made available under a subscription plan; and
  • Revise, modify, or update the subscription fees or charges payable for access to the Services.

10.3 Any changes to subscription fees shall apply prospectively and will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.

10.4 We do not guarantee uninterrupted, continuous, or error-free access to the Services. Streaming quality and access performance depend on device compatibility, internet connectivity, and other external factors beyond our control.

11. USER CONDUCT

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with platform security
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Upload malicious software
  • Harass or harm others

We comply with obligations under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 where applicable.

12. PRIVACY

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with:

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
  • Information Technology Act, 2000

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We disclaim all warranties including:

  • Continuous availability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

To the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCMT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Aggregate liability shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months. Nothing excludes liability where prohibited under law.

15. TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION

15.1 Suspension or Termination by CCMT – We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services, in whole or in part, at our discretion:

  • For breach of these Terms;
  • For non-payment of subscription fees;
  • For suspected piracy, credential sharing, or unauthorized public, group, or institutional screening;
  • If required by law, court order, or regulatory authority; or
  • For any misuse that may harm the platform, other users, or CCMT's rights.

Upon suspension or termination, your right to access and view the Content shall cease immediately.

15.2 Cancellation by You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

Cancellation will:

  • Prevent renewal of the subscription for the next billing cycle;
  • Not affect access for the remainder of the current paid subscription period (unless terminated for breach); and
  • Not entitle you to any refund, credit, or pro-rata reimbursement.

15.3 No Refund Policy Upon Termination

Except where required under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or in cases of duplicate or erroneous transactions, subscription fees once paid are non-refundable.

In the event of termination due to breach of these Terms, no refund shall be payable.

16. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CCMT from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Services
  • Unauthorized public exhibition
  • Violation of intellectual property rights

17. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

18. PRIVACY ENQUIRIES AND UPDATES

All enquiries regarding CCMT's compliance with applicable data protection laws, including any request for access to, correction of, or clarification regarding your personal data, should be submitted in writing to:
