Ramahare Stotram, a hymn in praise of Shri Rama who is himself Shri Hari is a composition of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda and is inspired by Bhagawan Shankaracharya’s Hari Meede Stotram.
What does Hari mean? Hari means one who takes away. Hari takes away our ignorance, our sorrows, our sufferings, our negativities. Hari – Harati iti Harih; Raamah – that word comes from the verbal root called ‘Rama’. Rama means to revel, to sport, to delight. And therefore Rama is the one who delights us. And what delights us is only joy/ananda alone. Wherever we experience some kind of ananda/joy, our mind gets attracted to that.

The Sankat Mochan also known as Shri Hanuman Ashtakam, which follows the devotional classic Shri Hanuman Chalisa, is one of the most popular compositions of Goswami Tulsidasaji. It is a moving prayer from a lamenting heart pleading with the ever compassionate Hanumanji, who is well-known for alleviating the distresses of even the most exalted spiritual personalities. It also reveals secretly the causes of our inner bondage and sorrows and how these can be removed effectively.
Pujya Swami Swaroopananda not only brings out the beautiful sentiments of these verses but also inspires viewers to invoke Sankat Mochan Shri Hanumanji to extinguish the causes of sorrow in their lives and to find peace at the feet of Lord Rama’s most extraordinary devotee.
